About these metrics

PrivacyReady.nz publishes independent performance and security results to demonstrate transparency and reproducibility.

  • Lighthouse / PageSpeed Insights (Google LLC, United States): These tests analyse the public performance of this website. Anyone can run these checks independently from their browser, and no personal data is processed.
  • SSL Labs (Qualys, United States) and SecurityHeaders (operated by Snyk Limited, United Kingdom): These services assess HTTPS configuration and HTTP response headers. They review only publicly available technical information.
  • Phare.io uptime monitoring (European Union): This service continuously measures site availability using EU-based infrastructure.

All operational systems for PrivacyReady.nz, including hosting, DNS, mail, analytics, and the content delivery network, are located within the European Union. The only component outside the EU is the domain registrar, which is based in New Zealand. The external audit tools listed above are used solely to provide independent verification and do not involve any visitor or personal data.

Key Metrics Monitored

We publish the main operational and security checks that run on PrivacyReady.nz.
These represent the technical areas most relevant to clients, auditors and data protection teams.

Uptime and Response Time

EU-based monitoring confirms the site remains available and responsive.
The live chart displays current and recent uptime and any recorded incidents.

SSL, TLS and HSTS

Regular checks with SSL Labs and SecurityHeaders confirm certificates, modern protocols and strict HTTPS.
These measures provide technical assurance for secure data transfer and regulatory alignment.

PageSpeed and Accessibility

Google PageSpeed Insights for mobile and desktop, including accessibility scoring to WCAG 2.1 AA.
These checks support alignment with current EU accessibility requirements effective from June 2025.

Security Headers and CSP

Independent review of HTTP security headers confirms content is protected and framed only where allowed. We also publish email authentication status (SPF, DKIM selectors and DMARC policy, including alignment).

Infrastructure Health

Checks on DNS, CDN and network paths confirm the EU hosting stack is operating as designed. Continuous monitoring verifies domain resolution, SSL validity, and email routing to maintain service assurance.

Background Security Scans

Scheduled scans detect unusual file changes or software issues, with results logged for audit. Automated privacy and tracking reviews also run periodically to identify any new cookies or scripts that may require attention.

Some operational checks are not displayed on this page, for example malware scans and administrative monitoring. These are run regularly to maintain the integrity of the platform.

Common Questions About Our Metrics

Our metrics provide a comprehensive overview of service reliability and security.

How often are metrics refreshed?

Metrics are updated every five minutes to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
External data sources such as PageSpeed Insights or SSL Labs may update at different intervals.

Why might scores differ from third-party sites?

Scores may vary slightly when tests are run directly by visitors or through external tools.
This can happen because of differences in testing locations, temporary network conditions or the time of day when checks are performed. All results shown here use consistent EU-based testing endpoints.

What should I do if I notice service degradation?

If you experience any performance or availability issue, please check the Service Status panel above.
In the unlikely event of a wider outage, updates will appear there first.
For general enquiries, you can contact the CSAS Hosting support team through the main site.

How is uptime calculated?

Uptime is measured as the percentage of successful checks recorded over a defined period.
Independent monitoring from EU locations verifies both reachability and response time every few minutes.

What security measures are in place?

All systems are hosted within the European Union with trusted infrastructure partners that maintain strong physical, network and data security controls.
TLS, HSTS and Content Security Policy headers are applied by default to protect data in transit and browser interactions.
Regular scans verify the security of the hosting environment, website configuration and email authentication status (SPF, DKIM and DMARC).

Can I receive alerts for status changes?

At present, automated alerts are not enabled for public users.
If you are a client or partner organisation, please contact us to discuss tailored monitoring or notification options.
